Get to know me
My name is Iveta and travelling is a way for me to discover the world in its authentic form. I love getting to know new countries, their culture, history and places that have their own atmosphere and story.
My journey to travelling
My passion is England. It was the first country I visited after the borders opened in the 1990s. It charmed me so much that it became a lifelong love of mine.
It was strange for me to return after thirty years to a country that means so much to me, this time together with my sons. Suddenly I saw London through different eyes and was able to compare my memories with today's reality. It was a different country, and yet it felt reassuringly familiar – It is as if I had left only yesterday.
I am also fascinated Scotland with its wild nature, mysterious history and stories that are hidden around almost every corner. Books are also a great inspiration for me, especially the series The Foreigner, which further deepened my interest in Scottish history and the places associated with it.
How I travel
I enjoy photography and when travelling I look primarily for places without crowds – one where the true genius loci can stand out.
I love nature, peaceful corners and lesser-known places that have a soul and can slow a person down and calm them for a while.
In my travels, I look for a balance between discovering interesting places and having time to truly enjoy them.
Why Explore with Iveta was created
In my itineraries, I focus primarily on European destinations. I believe Europe truly has a lot to offer travellers – from rich history and diverse architecture to beautiful nature and easy accessibility.
Explore with Iveta was born out of my desire to share the places I have discovered myself and to make trip planning easier for others.
I love showing places just as I experienced them myself, and sharing practical tips that can help people travel to the fullest, authentically, and without unnecessary stress.
